After all of the excitement of Christmas and New Year most of us are thinking about cutting back on the booze for a few weeks, including us at the Distillery.
We are a bit sceptical about Dry January - the important bit is having healthy drinking habits all year round, rather than one month of abstinence.
Instead we practice Tryanuary, drinking less, but trying out new things. For those who are interested this is our Tryanuary cocktail - the Salty Dog!
Wet with rim of a rocks glass and dip in salt. If you really want to go for it put some left over Christmas tree sprigs in with the salt for a day or 2 before hand for a pine scent.
Add a double measure of Durham Gin, add ice and top up wth Graprefruit juice. if you really want to go for it, add a splash of Icelandic birch liqueur.
